Intelligence is not a product of central design, but of distributed feedback. Yet today, both AI development and societal coordination suffer from reductionism—optimizing for narrow benchmarks or siloed incentives that misalign with real-world complexity.
Markets, science, and democracy are all domain-specific feedback systems validating value hypotheses. But they operate in isolation. Financial returns ignore epistemic quality; popularity overrides truth. This structural misalignment blocks our ability to integrate knowledge, resources, and values at scale.
To move forward, we need a more orthogonal framework for value hypothesis: an open protocol where agents—human or AI—propose actions or claims and receive multi-dimensional validation (epistemic, ethical, practical) weighted by validator competence. Feedback loops become recursive, reputation becomes portable, and cross-domain coordination becomes possible.

AGI will not emerge from scaling up a single model, but from scaling out coordination—an ecosystem of diverse agents validating each other across domains through shared protocols. The key enabler is agent sovereignty, secured by cryptographic verification of identity, feedback, and reputation—without centralized control.
This architecture represents a third way: preserving the market's adaptability and science’s rigor, while transcending their limitations. Like TCP/IP did for the internet, open protocols for feedback validation can form the substrate of a new coordination layer for intelligence itself.
The result is not a singularity, but an accelerating intelligence network—where general intelligence emerges not from a central model, but from millions of interconnected agents evolving together through trusted, composable feedback.
